GIVING BACK IN OUR HOMETOWN OF Brooklyn, New York
The volunteer ambulance service in Brooklyn, New York has been a part of our CEO, Chaim Fischer’s life for the past three decades. For him, it’s as much about community as it is about helping save lives.
After witnessing a member of his community fall ill, Fischer was inspired to join his local Volunteer EMS Organization and, through the years, worked his way through the ranks of the organization.
Around that time, Fischer ascended to membership on the board of New York’s Maimonides Hospital. A businessman at heart, he was also able to help the Volunteer EMS experience immense growth in not only funding but also in their ability to vitalize Fischer’s Brooklyn community.
Enter the current pandemic, which has ravaged each one of New York City’s five boroughs. Active in protecting the safety of his community long before the pandemic, Fischer has contributed his personal time and resources to make sure his community members in need and the volunteer and professional personnel who protect them are taken care of, and his work will continue long into the future.
That’s why Stührling is donating 10% of our sales toward Volunteer EMS Organizations, in order to give back locally during this time of pressing need.
